All about Dates!

1. Glucose, Fructose, and Sucrose

Dates are fruit, which means that they're full of natural sugars. Our bodies use the carbs and sugars found in foods like fruit for energy. These natural sugars are not going to make you less-healthy or directly cause you to gain weight. The vitamins, minerals, and fiber found in fruit all work together to slow down your body's intake of glucose and as a result your blood sugar levels stabilize. Did you know dates are a low glycemic index food? 

2. Fiber is our Friend

The fiber content in dates makes them fantastic for digestive health and improving bowel movements- kiss that constipation goodbye! Dates can help with IBS symptoms and even reduce one's risk of colon cancer. Thanks to that fiber, you'll also feel fuller longer after snacking on dates.
